Assam Seva Samiti is a non-profit voluntary organization founded in 1952 by freedom fighters. It is dedicated to social welfare, healthcare, education, and vocational training across Assam.
The Samiti was founded by Late Shri B.K. Bhandari and fellow social reformers inspired by Gandhian principles.

The organization supports 28 leprosy colonies by providing shelter, healthcare, dignity-based rehabilitation, and community reintegration.

The organization sustains itself through rental income, government collaborations, public donations, and prudent asset management.
An 8-storey residential-cum-office complex is nearing completion. The Samiti will receive its designated share to support operational sustainability.
